Donnington Grove’s long association with the racing centre of Lambourn and the surrounding area has afforded us immeasurable experience and expertise with both the National Hunt and Flat racehorse. We understand and have an in-depth knowledge of the racing industry. Routine yard visits, preventative healthcare and appropriate cost-effective interventions minimise days lost to training, optimise performance and lead to the winner’s enclosure on the racecourse.
Our specialised veterinary services are available for all horses and ponies competing at every level. We provide routine and emergency services throughout Berkshire, Hampshire, Wiltshire and Oxfordshire. Donnington Grove's ambulatory vets are equipped with modern, portable, diagnostic
equipment to care for your sport and leisure horses and ponies. From children's first ponies to top class competition horses and ponies improved health and performance is always our goal.
Donnington Grove has a dedicated stud farm team, which provides reproductive and stud medicine services to TB and non-TB studs in the surrounding counties of our Newbury practice. We are also a BEVA approved practice for artificial insemination. The stud team is supported by our on-site laboratory which is approved for testing of CEM. Critically ill mares and foals receive around the clock specialist care within our hospital’s intensive care facilities.

Donnington Grove Laboratory offers comprehensive clinical pathology services to our ambulatory and hospital teams and accepts samples for testing and interpretation from veterinary surgeons and practices across the UK. Our experienced team of qualified laboratory technicians provide rapid, quality controlled, reliable results with interpretation by experienced on-site clinicians. The lab is located at our Newbury, West Berkshire practice headquarters.
Donnington Grove’s internationally renowned equine hospital is led by RCVS, European and American
recognised medicine and surgical
specialists. The hospital is extensively equipped and RCVS accredited. Hospital care is provided 24/7, 365 days a year, and supported by our on-site laboratory, trained equine nurses and equine care teams. The hospital provides referral services to veterinary surgeons throughout Southern England and the Midlands.

Equipped with modern portable diagnostic equipment, our ambulatory services are supported by recognized specialist surgeons and medics at our own RCVS accredited equine hospital in Newbury.
