A guide to the new vaccination intervals

From the 1st January 2024 the vaccination intervals changed for a number of the equestrian equine bodies, for equine influenza. This is following advice from the British Equestrian Federation.

 

It is the responsibility of horse owners, that their horse, pony or donkey is vaccinated in accordance with the rules for their appropriate governing body, for example FEI. Please be aware that the vaccination rules may differ between governing bodies. Donnington Grove Veterinary Group’s advice is that you follow the British Equestrian Federation’s advice which is supported by scientific evidence and complies with vaccine manufacturers requirements.

 

Please note that if your horse had completed their primary course of equine influenza vaccinations prior to the 1st January 2024, they do not need to restart their vaccinations in order to comply with the new rules.
